Work Record - Shoot 7

Plans for the shoot
For this shoot i have decided to re-do shoot 3 which was based around nature, this time round i would like to make flowers my main subject for the shoot. This time round i will be more prepared by gathering a range of different flowers such as roses and pansies. I would like to try and experiment with these by putting different ranges together to see the comparison, i am going to do this shoot at home as i have some flowers in m garden therefore i want to photograph them in the pots rather than picking them out, also i think this would make the picture look more natural.
What i hope to achieve
I hope to achieve a range of photos showing the different flower comparisons while also showing the flowers in detail. I would like the images to be really detailed so we can see the individual patterns on the petals of the flowers. After looking at photographers work such as Graham Owen i have gained inspiration and a few ideas as to what to do.
What i actually achieved

These are two of the images i achieved from my shoot which overall i found went very well as i have a few more which i would like to include in my final pieces. The top image is my favourite image as this is something which i hadn't planned to do however the idea came to me while shooting. What i done was lay the rose of the floor and tip a little bit of water over the petals, i thought this made a very good image as the water coming off of the flower gave off a red affect connoting blood which made it look like the flower was bleeding. The second image i also like as this shows a range of flowers, i especially like the second part of the image as i like how you can see the white flowers which contains droplets of water on it. this makes the image more appealing to look at. Also i like how you can see two different angles as i have take one form the side and then bird eye view which makes it look more interesting. Furthermore i have some more images which i thought went very well as i managed to capture a range of the flowers.
What i will do next time
If i was to re-do this shoot again for the 3rd time i would definitely try it in the studio, this way i can alter the lighting and the background while also manually moving the flowers. This is something i would like to try and do and if i have time at the end of my unit i will try this. i think this would be quite a good shoot, obviously i would use the macro lens for this so i can gain lots of detail. i would also attempt to try the water droplets with this as well.
