Photography exam planning

Monday- 
For monday i am planning to go to London Zoo in order to take close-up images of the animals. This will take up roughly 2 hours of my exam time not including travelling.
Tuesday- 
For this shoot i have the studio booked at 3PM, during this time i will shoot pictures of water with food colouring being added to it. I have some inspiration below.

Plans for the shoot
For this shoot i have a range of ideas, i will be using the studio to shoot texture as well as going outside. i will gather up a range of items, such as leafs, fur, and any other texture things i can find. For my shoot outside i will shoot things like brick walls as these include texture, also things like grass. For the studio i will be using the macro lens and getting very up close to my objects in order to see the textures more.
What i hope to achieve
I hope to achieve photos of a range of objects which show different textures, for my shoot outside i'm hoping the weathers nice so i can possibly get some sunlight in my photos as well. I hope to achieve very detailed photos for my studio shoot as i will be able to alter the lighting and the camera settings in order to achieve detail.
What i actually achieved

These are three of the images which i achieved form my shoot, I like the bottum two the best because they show the leaf in huge amounts of detail. For example i like how you can see the water in the leaf as it also brings out a different colour in contrast, i found this effective and interesting. i also like that within the image above you can see the texture as the leaf looks crinkled, this also brings out the different tones of colours in the leaf which i also found interesting. another thing i like in both images is who you can see the veins of the leaf in detail.
What i will do next time
If i was to do this shoot again i think i would think more carefully about my positioning of my objects. for example in the image at the bottom i would of rather had the two leafs positioned differently, in a way that i could capture them from a side angle instead as i think this would have looked more effective.

Plans for the shoot
For this shoot i have planned to capture more nature in detail, this would include things such as flowers, plants and anything else i can find. I have planned to go up to Thorley church as i know they have a graveyard and also a field out the back which is normally filled with different things. I will approach this with an open mind as this is when my best ideas seem to come to mind, however i do already have rough ideas. I also plan to try and use the technique multiple imagery, i think this would be good with flowers as i could combine different types.

What i hope to achieve
I hope to achieve a range of images which will portray flowers and plants in a professional way. I know that in order to capture flowers in close up detail it would be better to use a macro lens as this would enable me to capture lot's of specific detail. I also hope to use the technique multiple imagery as i think this will look good and it will be different.

What I actually achieved

These three pictures are my favourite edits from the shoot, i especially like the last picture as it wasn't planned. The first image involves multiple imagery which i had planned to shoot, however i done this on the computer rather than the camera, i still think it worked out all right though. My second image was close up of the grass, even though it's quite plain i like it a lot because the background is blurred making the grass the main focus in the picture, i also changed the colours in he picture to make it look more appealing and different. My last picture is my favourite form the shoot mainly because it wasn't planned and i think it worked out all right. I used the clone stamp tool in order to rub the legs out so it looks quite surreal, this links into fantasy which is what i said id do at the begging of my project. 

What i will do next time

Im very happy with how this shoot went, however if i was to do this shoot again i would like to get more of a range of flowers. Due to me being outside i was very limited with what i could shoot, i was thinking about possibly going to a garden centre as i know there will be a range of flowers there.

Plans for the shoot
In order to prepare for this shoot i have specifically thought about locations as i want to shoot a river with running water as well as a bit of nature. Therefore i have organised to go to Much Hadham as i know they have a ford and a forest, while there i hope to capture the running water as well as going into the forest to capture some wild life and flowers. I am going to make sure take my camera which has a good quality zoom as i know i am going to be shooting close-up.

What i hope to achieve
I hope to achieve some really interesting shots of the flowers and the water up close. Specifically i have in mind some running water shots, I've been influenced by images i saw online, however i want to add a twist a make these my own. Therefore thats why i have chosen to go to a river because the water is naturally running and making splashes instead of someone forcing it. The image below is the sort if thing i have in mind for this shoot, i think it shows close up well as i the detail is very good and i like how there is a mixture of different colours.


What i actually achieved

This is one of the images i achieved from the shoot, i like this image a lot even though i know its not as close-up as i would of liked i still think it works well. I have edited this image quite a bit as i was experimenting with the colours and found that this looked very effective. I like how the picture is still very detailed as you can see the water running down and the splashes which i think looks effective. I played around with the levels and curves in order to get this image which i think has a high contrast but works well.

What i will do next time
If i was to do this shoot again i would definitely like to be a bit braver and try getting closer to the subject of my images. This would be challenging as i would also have a task of not getting the camera wet. Furthermore i would also like to experiment more with my edits by induing some multiple images.

Work Record - Shoot 1

Evaluation

This was the first shoot of my topic, therefore i wanted to experiment with different part of the face. For this shoot i therefore went into the studio and took images of different parts of two peoples faces, this was only an experimental shoot therefore i did not have any high execrations. However overall i thought this shoot went quite well for an experimental shoot as i hadn't done much planning and therefore i thought it would turn out a lot worse than what it did. The image above is one of the images i achieved from the shoot, it thought this went quit dwell.
