Work Diary - Blurring

Evaluation

The technique blur is achieved by having the camera on a long shutter speed and having a continuous light source, this way we get the blur effect as shown in my two pictures above which are my favourite photos i achieved from this shoot. i think this technique is interesting because it allows you to make the person/object look like they are moving. i like the image above of the light in the picture, i achieved this by making my model flash her phone light and move it around while i took the picture, i think the photo is interesting because you cannot actually see the model holding the phone light which makes the photo look more mysterious. i think this technique works best on a black background as you are able to see the movement more and it makes the image look more bold.

How I could use this technique
Although i liked this technique i think i would find it hard to include in my personal project, because my personal project is based around commercial photography. however if i did want to use this technique i could use it by shooting makeup/ fashion in the studio and blurring it so for example the lip stick looks lie it is moving on the lips.
